For 25 years, Literacy Coalition of Central Texas has been on the front lines of adult education, equipping individuals with the literacy and workforce skills they need to thrive. What began in 2001 as a community-driven response to a critical need has grown into a powerful network of programs, partners, and people committed to lasting change.
We are proud to celebrate this anniversary and grateful to everyone who has been part of our story.

When Literacy Coalition of Central Texas was founded in 2001, it was built on the belief that every adult deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Twenty-five years later, that belief is stronger than ever.
Over the past quarter century, we have walked alongside thousands of adult learners on their journey from opportunity to achievement, offering education, support, and a community that believes in them. We have launched groundbreaking programs that bring literacy directly to adults, workplaces, and community centers, meeting students where they are and removing every barrier we can.
Our network has grown to over 56 partners, and together we serve more than 900 students annually. All Literacy Coalition students come from low-income backgrounds and underserved communities. The impact goes beyond our students. When adults learn, their children are more likely to succeed in school, their families are more stable, and our community is stronger.
Twenty-five years of stories of milestones, of lives changed, and that is what we are celebrating this year.

There is nothing quite like watching someone walk across a stage and claim the future they have worked so hard to build, and on September 10, 2026, you are invited to be there.
2026 Graduation: From Opportunity to Achievement will be held at the Texas State Capitol, a fitting backdrop for celebrating the extraordinary accomplishments of Literacy Coalition’s adult students. From earning their GED to mastering new workforce skills, these graduates have turned opportunity into achievement, and their stories will move you.

Join us on November 4th for the 25th Anniversary: Celebrating 25 Years of Impact celebration at the stunning Cathedral, where the fun starts at 6 pm and goes until 8 pm with games, incredible door prizes, delicious food and drinks, and so much more. Whether you are joining us fresh from the Partner Celebration or coming to the party for the first time, this is the party of the year, and you do not want to miss a single moment of it.
